VR UI Assets for Windows Developers

Worked on Microsoft's APS Team to create 10 Virtual Reality UI Unity Asset packages consistent with Windows 11 design to empower users to develop with Windows. Each UI tool was specifically designed to be easily imported into a new or existing Unity project, customizable, and packaged with helper functions to make development a seamless process. Programmed an accompanying WinUI application where users can download specific UI components after testing interactable examples, as well as learn more about how to develop with them/Unity in general. App is currently published on the Microsoft Store here. Leveraged XAML, C#, Figma, Unity, Oculus Quest, Visual Studio.

Fraud Detection Using Data Analytics

Tasked with creating a comprehensive systematic approach to detect and manage fraud in client environments for Booz Allen Hamilton, collaborated with intern team to develop a three pronged approach for the issue at hand: 1) a framework to guide consultants in maturing a fraud use case library with an associated interactive web app, 2) machine learning models to predict the likelihood that a given transaction is fraudulent in real time, and 3) cloud integration with these models for a portable solution. Framework web app was developed using Python Dash with an SQL database backend used for inserting and querying information. ML models used KNN clustering to determine customer susceptibility and logistic regression to determine how suspicious a transaction was. Cloud integration used AWS services (Lambda, Sagemaker) for easier model use (models were serialized in .pkl files). Leveraged Python, SQL, Tensorflow, Git, AWS, Dash, HTML, CSS.

Alpha CubeSat Mission: Golden Holograms

Simulated detailed virtual reality renditions of the 9 analog holograms being mounted on the CubeSat, which were each displayed on the CAD CubeSat model based on user choice. After implementing computations so the modeled CubeSat had physically accurate movements, we then simulated the spatial surroundings and enhanced the overall realism of elements like the retroreflective sail material. After the environment was fully created, we established a connection between Unity and the website using WebGL and triggered hologram changes upon user interaction. CompatibilityCheck, iOS App

Designed and developed iOS app that compares user compatibility with other companions based on zodiac sign, Myers-Briggs, and enneagram. Program includes Model-View-Controller design structure, navigation/modal ViewControllers, and a myriad of UIKit components. Users can upload photos for themselves and their companion, sort compatibility based on filters shown, determine horoscope based on birthday, and read about each MBTI/Enneagram type. Leveraged Swift, XCode, CocoaPods, UIKit.

Diagnosing Cardiothoracic Abnormalities using Machine Learning

Developed machine learning program that utilized image recognition to recognize if a cardiothoracic x-rays displays one of fourteen different abnormalities. Program was able to diagnose inputted x-ray in a matter of seconds with an average of 65-75% accuracy; the highest accuracy of 91% on x-rays containing visible masses. Created to aid the rural medical crisis, to expedite x-ray diagnosis in areas where the doctor-patient ratio results in slow results on potentially life threatening conditions. Integration of Attitude Control Simulations in Mixed Reality Engineering Toolkit

Programmed additions to preexisting NASA Mixed Reality Engineering Toolkit that simulated accurate  3D visualizations of attitude control components of satellites using live data. Meant to assist engineers by providing 3D models of physical concepts (sun vectors, body grids). Created basic VR simulation for the OSIRIS-REX mission. Unable to show code due to internship ownership. Leveraged Unity, Vive, 42, MRET, C# , Blender.

Simulating Chromesthesia using Augmented Reality

Created AR app that simulated baseline rendition of audio-visual synesthesia for five different genres of music in order to encourage research on the causes and effects of synesthesia on brain activity. Received Society of Women Engineers Outstanding Engineer Award, 3rd place at Virginia regional fair for Bioinformatics. Leveraged Unity, C#, Google Cardboard.

Simulating Colorblindness using Augmented Reality

Created AR app that simulated three different types of colorblindness (deuteranopia, tritanopia, protanopia) in real time in order to reform public perception of colorblindness as a disability. Received NASA Optics and Photonics Award, Optical Society of America Outstanding Achievement Award, and 2nd place at VA regional fair for BioinformaticsLeveraged Unity, C#, Google Cardboard.
